Rainy days are here to stay

It rained all weekend long, and is still coming down. It turns out that the rain made me feel very productive. I ended up in bed early Friday night with a migraine, but not to fret it turned into an early Saturday morning. I got up much too early for me, at 9am, and started some laundry, popped this homemade potpourri in the oven to bake(an idea stolen from Mo) and curled up on the couch to finish a hilarious book I've been enjoying-"Size 14 is NOT Fat Either." This potpourri was fun to make and smelled delicious while it was baking, however it does not have much of a scent at all now.
Next I woke up Honey and bribed him with breakfast, then the cleaning commenced! We scrubbed the house from top to bottom. I was able to persuaded him to help me move around some furniture too. We(well really he) moved my larger dining room table into my scrap room and my smaller round table into the dining room. All so that I could squeeze in this old dresser, isn't it the perfect buffet?? It was my father's when he was growing up and I inherited it as my first bed room suit, although I am not sure what happen to the other pieces. My Aunt had been storing this for me in her scrap room for years, until recently she decided to re-vamp. I just stuck some things on top for now, since I can't decide what to put on this new surface..
Lastly, I had him hang this fabu apron holder. The knobs are from HD-I bought them for another dresser that is no longer with us, my aunt had the old piece of wood, and my handy man uncle put it all together for me!! Isn't it too cute?? Then it was off to a wedding.

I spent the majority of my Sunday filling out Save the Date Cards for our upcoming October wedding, reading yet another book-"ALABAMA", and gnashing all day. I changed out of my pjs for a quick trip to target, sugar and charcoal were on the list. I was looking for more Save the Dates, but I couldn't find any to match the ones I already have. And that's it.... what did you do this weekend??
