Brown Thumb Turned Green....

These are just a few pictures of my newly planted garden. I have always had a brown thumb, but my soon to be mother in law(STBMIL) has been working on me for quite some time now. Last summer when we moved into our new place she gave me an air plant as a house warming gift. I promptly killed it! Later in the summer she brought me two beautiful hibiscus plants. I was able to enjoy their blooms all last summer and fall, until low and behold my honey chopped one of them to pieces with the weed whacker last weekend! Well I went on an adventure to Home Depot looking for hibiscus replacements and came back with these instead..

A beautiful Red Gerber Daisy! Gerber Daisies are my favorite!

This one was a gift from my STBMIL for Easter this year. She told me it's name, but I can not for the life of me remember what it is!!

And this last one is a flap jack that I picked out all on my own!

Add a few bags of soil, a few of mulch and voila! $20 dollars later you get a beautiful garden to enjoy all season long!! The packaging for these said that all they need is full sun and only an inch of water per day. Well I thought to myself "This sounds easy enough!" So we'll see how they fare after a few months of stifling Florida weather! Wish me luck!

Advice from the queen of the brown thumbs . . . ignore them! They will grow! Or let your STBMIL baby them when she comes to visit.

P.S. I THINK the pink flower in the post is a geranium!

Love ya!
